This collection consists of two black boxes, each with the same content. Each box contains manuscript pages for various creative endeavors by James B. Justice and others, including poetry, an opera, and visual arts, as well as a CD containing the music for the opera. Selected works include a book called Idle Moments and an opera The Old Shoe Blues. A full list of the contents of the box, as typed by the author, can be found in the container list section of the finding aid.

This collection contains materials related to Maurice Harmon’s work during his time at Marshall University and slightly after. The bulk of the collection consists of works in progress by Harmon and others at Marshall. The works in progress included in this collection are “Sean O'Faolain”, Constable (London, England), 1994 and “Preserving the Word: Descriptive Catalogue of Maurice Harmon’s Library of Anglo-Irish Literature and Criticism” compiled by Barbara R. The Campbell-Staats collection consists of two separate series of information. The first series is comprised of the Jennie Ratliff Campbell papers. These papers consist mainly of personal correspondence to Miss Ratliff dating from 1875-1888. The majority of these letter were from two particular individuals, R. G. Drysdale and W. S. Livengood, and concerned everyday occurrence and mutual acquaintances. The remainder of the series is made up of samples from her schoolwork, songs she had copied, business correspondence, and a book of poetry given to her by her fiancee, C. W. Campbell.
