The speech reviews Kentucky’s history, geography, settlement, culture, and notable citizens. Includes a “Kentucky mountain version” of the fairy tale “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”

Beninger resided in Versailles, Kentucky, for a number of years, and several of the poems refer to people or places in that community. Beninger often mentions the source of his poem’s inspiration and the date he penned it. Mr. Beninger is buried in the McCord Cemetery in Ohio County, Kentucky.
