Of all the characters of the Ancient World none is better known today, both to scholars and to those whose knowledge of that history is small, than Cicero; Statesman, Orator, and Author. And of all the achievements of that great man the most widely known is the part he took, in cooperation with the Senatorial party in crushing the Catilinian Conspiracy.
