For her Community Engaged Learning course, Noelle interned as a Publishing Assistant with Latitude 46 Publishing in Sudbury. She mainly focused on organizing the publicity and events for the company's two Spring releases, and in her final report offers a creative look into her growth as a publicist and the opportunities she had in the role.

For her Community Engaged Learning internship, Rikki travelled to Ghana with ProjectsAbroad to volunteer in Ghana for several weeks in the summer of 2017. Accompanied by a friend, the two worked together to study several key issues in child marriage that occur in Ghana, and to produce a list of recommended points of action for future volunteers.

Vicky Qiao spent the summer of 2019 working at the Canadian not-for-profit Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation, at the Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care. While there, Vicky coordinated fundraising events and event planning, and organized a mini-documentary series interviewing 8 individuals, including senior residents and staff, to unearth their immigration stories and experiences. Through this community engaged learning course, Vicky developed strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills while engaging with a network of seniors to share their stories.

For Margaret's Community Engaged Learning project, she worked with the charitable organization Elephant Thoughts, a collection of teachers and volunteers who work together with Indigenous schools in Canada and internationally to teach summer courses. Margaret was placed in Chisasibi Quebec, on the picturesque shores of James Bay. For the month of July she taught French as a third language in a local high school and herein presents photos and reflections on the experience.

Megan Levine interned at The Walrus for six weeks in the summer of 2017 as part of her Community Engaged Learning credit for SASAH. She worked in the Digital Editing department, and while there she was responsible for creating newsletters and problem solving issues that arose in the digital publication space, and she enjoyed the opportunity to learn from the distinguished authors at the magazine. Here, Megan reflects on her learnings while at The Walrus and shares how she developed personally and professionally through her internship.

For her Experiential Learning course, Morgan interned with Irregular Entertainment in Toronto, assisting the General Manager in the summer 2018 production of Greece. In this position, Morgan moved to Toronto and gained valuable experience in many facets of the Industry, such as managing Investor relations and customer services, developing marketing materials, and becoming certified in Google Analytics.

Betty interned at The Walrus and worked at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) for her two experiential learning credits. While at the Walrus, Betty worked in the Events department for two months, and at JKUAT Betty worked with other Ivey students to organize a case competition. In her final report and accompanying presentation, Betty describes both internships in detail and presents a wonderful example of the diverse opportunities available to undergraduate students at Western.
