Beyond versus makes its contribution to the thriving industry of books that clarify or recast nature-nurture issues through seven conceptual moves. The first is to posit a divide between sociological and philosophical inquiry. As Tabery depicts them, commentators on the science invoked in nature-nurture debates often focus on the racist or other political views of disputants or on their flawed understanding of scientific concepts. My research focuses on Russia's foreign policy interests and actions in the context of the post-soviet space and its relations with western nations and organizations. I used three case studies: the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict, the Russo- Georgian War, and the Crimean Crisis. The Russian government has pursued intervention in these areas for various reasons. The most prominent of these reasons are ethnicity, religion, irredentism, great power politics, and economics. The Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict centers on the Eastern Orthodox Armenian enclave in the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, a nation otherwise consisting of a majority of Turkic Sunni Muslims. The implementation of effective reading programs for special education students is paramount for school success due to the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) and the reauthorization of Individual with Disabilities Education Act. One local school implemented the Science Research Associates Corrective Reading Program (SRACRP) because their special education students did not meet the required proficient or advanced reading scores on the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA). Assessing Changes In Social Status And Behavior Problems In Preschool Children With Autism Spectrum Disorders (Asd) After Exposure To A Peer-Mediated Social Skills Intervention, Sarah Leger

The social status and social relationships of preschool children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) were assessed as developmentally relevant outcomes of a social skills intervention with a large peer-training component. Changes in teacher-reported behavior problems were also measured and used to predict social status before, immediately after, and twelve weeks after the social skills intervention. Patterns of children’s social associations were measured utilizing child- and teacher-report. Additional steps were taken to establish test-retest reliability for the sociometric measures used in this study in order to contribute to the psychometric literature focused on the social functioning of young children with ASD. …
