Green Distinguished Christian Scholar Lecture Program featuring Pepperdine religion professor Jerry Rushford, who spoke on "A Road Beaten Hard: The Enduring Legacy of Dr. William McAllen Green, 1897-1979". The recording begins with an introduction of the speaker by Frank Pack, also a professor of religion, and Dr. Rushford's lecture follows (03:28). Following the lecture, Dr. Pack makes some closing remarks (49:50), partially recorded here. Launched by Pepperdine University in 1980, the William M. Pioneer Vincentian missionaries in the United States quickly had contacts with Native Americans and reported on these to their European superiors. These contacts ceased when the tribes moved away from Vincentian areas, but they were occasionally renewed in the twentieth century. Two maps help to locate events.

This paper was written before the introduction of Common Worship by the Church of England and explores the effects of earlier liturgical changes upon that Church, in particular the move from non-Eucharist forms of worship (such as Mattins and Evensong) to more Eucharistically centred liturgy and argues for affirmation and encouragement of diversity in parish worship.

An annotated translation of an obituary notice of Angelo Oliva (1777-1835), a Vincentian brother. He came to the United States from Naples, and oversaw the building and decoration of the Assumption Church at St. Mary's of the Barrens, Perryville, Missouri. This is one of the few biographies of a lay brother.
