The James Gelbert ’65 Teddy Roosevelt Artifact Collection includes pieces that would have been contemporary to Roosevelt and those created after his presidency. There are campaign buttons and a Facts about the Candidate booklet as well as tourist kitsch and teddy bears. There are also a few campaign buttons from either the 1952 or 1956 president race (Eisenhower/Stevenson.) Finally there is a card file that Gelbert kept of his book collection which was also donated to Musselman Library in August 2015.

This collection contains the remaining records of the Delaware State Steering Committee during the 1968 Eugene McCarthy presidential campaign. Unfortunately, the Delaware State Steering Committee kept very little in the way of written reports. The content of this collection is what was left when the office was cleaned out: newsletters, flyers, posters, newspapers, a 45 rpm recording, campaign instructions, posters, and buttons. The press releases contain the contents of many of McCarthy’s speeches and writings.

This collection consists of copies of 1311 pages which cover the period from April 1961 to October 1967 during which time he occupied an office on the campus of Gettysburg College. These records detail his appointments, meetings, and telephone calls during his time at Gettysburg College.

(Hiram) Ralph Burton's obituary dated August 12, 1971 (Washington Post) states that he was a lifelong resident of Washington, D.C., aged 89 years old when he died on August 5, 1971 and a graduate of Georgetown University Law School. He served as Special Investigator for the Senate Campaign Expenditures Committee, 1938-1939 and 1940-1941, and House Appropriations Committee in charge of NYC and State, investigation of the W.P.A. 1939-1940; General Counsel to the House Military Affairs Committee, 1941-1947; Chief Investigator for the Senate Committee on Post Office and Civil Service, 1947-1948; General Counsel for the House Campaign Expenditures Committee, 1948-1949 …
