The purpose of this study was to study the effects of increased teacher knowledge of students' individual characteristics on students' religious attitudes and achievement in Seminary. It was based upon the rationale that when teachers have more knowledge of each student's characteristics, they can be more effective in planning for individual needs. One result will be that students' behavior and attitudes will be affected positively because their needs are more fully satisfied and interests more effectively utilized.

Whenever a public school modifies its scheduling program it has a direct effect upon any released-time program affiliated with the school. This study was undertaken, therefore, to determine the adjustment necessary in the released-time seminary program of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in order to make that program compatible with three major flexible scheduling programs: (1) the Period Exchange of Rotating Period Program as used in the Cedar City High School, Cedar City, Utah, (2) the Modular Schedule as typified by the Stanford School Scheduling System (SSSS) and used in Roy High School, Roy, Utah, and (3) …

Standards of dress and conduct of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are presented to the youth in a variety of ways. Although these standards are all important, the seminary youth do not consider them to have equal relevance in their own personal lives; for they are concerned with particular standards, in particular ways, and at particular times. While some attempts have been made to solicit their views pertaining to such standards, most studies to date have not dealt with material which has been published and made available to all of the youth of the Church.
