The sixty-four works of emergent fiction of 2015 evidence several noteworthy transitions in Canadian prose. While it is admittedly problematic to discuss the novels and collections of short stories as some form of unified whole, several patterns emerged that merit highlighting and demand critical attention because they represent new directions for Canadian fiction.

The texts mark the arrival of a new wave of literary experimentation that embraces risk-taking and the pursuit of novelty as fundamental characteristics of good art and great storytelling. In May 2016, Todd Barsanti attended a one week residency for design educators, hosted by Design Inquiry (designinquiry.net). The residency was held at The Poor Farm, on Vinalhaven Island, in Maine. He used the opportunity to work out some communications that had been percolating since he completed his Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies five years ago; a series of posters that communicate ways in which our patterns of consumption are not sustainable. By studying the cultural and aesthetic impact of increasingly pervasive digital technologies and mass amateurization, this paper examines the ramifications of the networked information economy on professional photographic practice and considers the concomitant implications for the photographic classroom. Using the framework of convergence culture as per the writings of Yochai Benkler, Henry Jenkins, Mark Deuze, and Axel Bruns, the impact of accessible and instantaneous image creation and dispersal are explored. L’obligation du célibat était tout aussi importante pour les moniales que pour les moines. Ce sont pourtant les premières qui ont focalisé l’attention des autorités ecclésiastiques. En effet, la fornication avec une religieuse était classée parmi les maiora crimina et était durement sanctionnée par l’Église médiévale. Si la législation épiscopale insiste sur la culpabilité des partenaires sexuels des religieuses, elle en dit peu sur les religieuses elles-mêmes et sur leur punition.
