Asian Christian spirituality is often viewed through the lens of western theology, which is often grounded in biblical literalism. Within this literalist faith, spirituality becomes a mimicry of dogma. Hence, spiritual experiences are usually only allowed within existing theological perimeters. This essay invites readers to journey beyond their circumscribed faith and meet the Christ who had transcended his physical limitations into the luminous glory of liberating life. The quest for inner experience of God is a possible encounter for everyone including the LGBTIQ+ people through the reflective experience of Christ.
