Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 3566. Scrapbook, together with clippings and ephemera contained therein, of Cora Gossom, Bowling Green, Kentucky. Although many of its pages are missing, the book is a “Mark Twain’s Scrapbook,” containing pages coated with a light adhesive that required a slight application of moisture instead of glue. The contents relate primarily to news and local social events of interest to Cora, including her own debut. Loose items include a humorous novelty card warning of “fishing pox” and a postcard extolling William Jennings Bryan.

Correspondence, photos, diaries, and other family related memorabilia from the families of Michael Edward Jelley and his wife Laura Josephine (Duff) Jelley. Most of the material relates to Laura’s family, the Duffs of Jackson, Kentucky, and to Michael and Laura’s immediate family. The bulk of the collection consists of Laura’s diaries, correspondence, recipes, and scrapbook.

Digital images of photographs, passports, Kentucky Senate resolution related to 100th birthday, certificate from the Cumberland Trace Chapter of the Military Officers Association, four pieces of currency—Japanese (3) and Russian (1); military identification, from Sidney Crider Carpenter of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Most of the material relates to Carpenter's military career and his role as a coach for several national and international marksmanship teams. Also digital copies of a Korean War photograph album and a 1929 Boy Scout diary kept by Carpenter.

Attached (Click on "Additional Files" below) is full text scan of a diary kept by Hayes from 1864 to 1865 and titled "My Leisure Moments to Belle McCullough." This diary is found in Box 3, Folder 4 of the collection.
