Welcome to Volume I Issue I of QueerShots, the annual newsletter published by the students of Queer(ing) Film in the Women and Gender Studies Department of St. John Fisher College. With each issue, we will focus on queer and feminist film and the intersectional issues of gender, sex, sexuality, race, class, and ability that these films draw to our attention, particularly as they impact the LGBTQIA+ community here at Fisher, in Rochester, New York, and beyond.
