The concept of the resurrection has been an event that has been contemplated and argued by Jews, Christians and all other religions. To provide a historical context of the resurrection, it needs to be narrowed to those that have taken into consideration what was spoken by Jesus Christ and His Apostles. Judaism first was given the promise of a resurrection, but not provided with much detail on how and when it would occur.
