The first English translation of the funeral oration in memory of Vincent de Paul delivered by Bishop Henri de Maupas du Tour on 23 November 1660. The text of the oration was published in January 1661. The oration is the first public reflection on the life, virtue, and accomplishment of the recently deceased Monsieur Vincent. I am delighted to introduce this eighth volume of Creating Knowledge: The LAS Journal of Undergraduate Scholarship. This volume features 19 essays and 14 art works, representing advanced coursework produced in twenty different departments and programs during the 2014-2015 academic year.
