An Exegetical Study Of I Corinthians 7:21 And Its Contemporary Implications, James Kaspar

To attempt to discuss the whole of the New Testament evidence on slavery is too broad for a paper of this nature. This paper will specifically seek to isolate the thrust or message of the pericope and its relationship to the total Pauline corpus, I shall discuss the various textual problems,, -especially the meaning of κλη̑σις and the construction μ̑αλλον χρ̑ησαι Then I shall consider the periscope in its various contexts (the immediate context [verses 17-24], the seventh chapter, the entire book …

If society in general has made few attempts at understanding prostitution, the few materials from the Church’s viewpoint indicate that it has done little also. The Church's Approach To The Rehabilitation Of Juvenile Delinquents Through An Institutional Setting, Leonard Laetsch

Bachelor of Divinity

Christian concern for one's fellow man finds its roots in the example for all Christian living, in Christ Himself. As He was vitally concerned about the welfare of His contemporaries, so Christians through-out the ages have tried to reflect a similar concern for their contemporaries. Christians desire that all men come to a knowledge of Christ Jesus as the Savior and Redeemer of the world, Who brings a new way of life both in this world and in the world to come. Whenever a follower of Christ sees acts of delinquency, he becomes concerned because he recognizes them as results …

What Are The Contrasting Contributions To The Problem Of Guilt In Pastoral Counseling Of Client-Centered Therapy And Reality Therapy, Marc Kluender

Bachelor of Divinity

This research paper is an investigation of the following question: What are the contrasting contributions to the problem of guilt in pastoral counseling of client-centered therapy and reality therapy? It is important for the reader to know why the area of guilt was chosen for study. First of all, guilt is a universal problem of mankind. Paul Tournier says, "It is abundantly clear that no man lives free of guilt. Guilt is universal." This does not mean that modern man is constantly asking about his guilt
