(The afternoon session of the annual meeting of the SAHS on December 12, 1970, was devoted to a discussion of the topic of "Swiss CUltural Propaganda in the united States and the SAHS." A panel of three New York members of the SAHS had prepared remarks on the ssubject, and the members present were invited t particaate in the discussion by either commenting on the ideas of the anelists or addinng thoughts of their own. As reported previously, "Articles of Incorporation of Swiss American Historical Society" were filed with the Recorder of Deeds, Washington, D. C., on March 23, 1970. This was a relatively smooth and simple procedure. However, the chief object of incorporating our society was reached only after considerable aditional effort.

The Seventh Annual Meeting of the reactivated Swiss American Historial Society, duly announced on page 11 of the SAHS newsletter of October 1970 (Volume VI, No. 2), was held on Saturday, December 12, 1970, at the Swiss Town House of the Swiss Benevolent Society of New York, at 35 West 67th Street, New York, N.Y from 10:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m.

The New York annual meeting of December 12, 1970, decided to create two new committees, a nominating committee and a publications committee. According to Article VI, Section 2, of the SAHS Constitution the president "shall appoint special committees for research work, the printing and publishing of pamphlets periodicals and books and such other specific activities as may be deemed necessary in carrying out the objects and purposes of this Society."
