Jon B. Kennedy Political Cartoon Collection, 1946-1996

This collection contains one caricature of Jon Kennedy drawn by cartoonist George Fisher, a 1979 letter to Jon Kennedy from former Arkansas Governor Orval E. Faubus, one photocopy of an article in the Arkansas Democrat about Jon Kennedy, one photograph of Jon Kennedy, one copy of Jon Kennedy's book of political cartoons, and 10 original cartoons on illustration board primarily drawn with ink and graphite. It also contains several photocopies of his cartoons.

Arkansas Political Memorabilia Collection, 1990-1996

This collection houses political memorabilia from the 1990 Arkansas Governor’s race, a photograph of Winston Bryant, campaign material from Bryant, an interview with Clinton, and a copy of the Arkansas Outlook.

Little Rock Central High School Collection, 1946-1996

This collection contains a program from the first reunion of the class of 1946 of Little Rock High School, which occurred on July 8 and 9, 1977. It also contains a list of contact information for members of Wilson's Tigers. Wilson's Tigers was a group of Little Rock High School football players who met each year to remember their coach, Wilson Matthews, and their days playing football. The collection also contains a photograph of members of the class of 1948 of Little Rock High School at their reunion, which occurred on April 17-19, 1998.

Prior Analytics describes a natural deduction system as part of an underlying logic. It is a proof-theoretic treatise concerned principally to establish and to perfect a deduction system for science. Aristotle knew that deductions about matters pertaining to a given subject matter are content specific and that they employ a topic neutral deduction system; such a system makes evident that given sentences logically follow from other given sentences. One process of deduction is accomplished through taking pairs of given categorical sentences to generate immediate inferences according to prescribed rules, which categorical inferences are then added to the given sentences and …

Aristotle's account of courage exhibits several general principles of his architectonic. First, Aristotle applies to courage what I have called the doctrine of disjoint spheres. (1) Each virtue has its own sphere completely separate from the spheres of all other virtues. Aristotle then goes on to narrow the sphere of courage by insisting correctly that courage governs only situations involving both fear and confidence. Aristotle does not make the mistake of further restricting courage to life-threatening situations. Historians who have covered the dance controversy usually treat it just in passing as one of the events in John Collier's reform career before he became Franklin Roosevelt's Commissioner of Indian Affairs. They have generally characterized the public debate over Indian dances as a struggle over whether religious freedom should be extended to Native Americans. To many Native Americans, the threat to ban Indian dances certainly did impinge on their religious practices. Yet, the controversy itself involved more than a constitutional debate on religious freedom. Many of the non-Indian participants in the controversy were white women who, in an era …
