The study begins with the study of the Old Testament passages which contain the term אְּשרי which is the Old Testament counterpart of Makáeios. The study examines these of the term in the Old Testament Apocrypha and the Greek classics. The study goes on to investigate the use and implications of Makáeios in the New Testament according to writer by writer.
