The following listing of deaths from Hopkins County and Muhlenberg County, Kentucky was copied from a ledger started by William Finis Hunter (1865-1939) of Hopkins County, Kentucky and was continued by his daughter, Essie (Hunter) Hammond. Essie (Hunter) Hammond was born 3 October 1896 in Hopkins County, Kentucky and died 6 March 1995 in Greenville, Kentucky. The ledger was probably copied by Brenda (Collier) Doss prior to the death of Mrs. Hammond and came into the possession of Gail Miller around 1998.
