The formulation of the theme to which I am to address myself indicates that our Church has become aware that the relationship of two vital parts of her program, namely, Missions and Ministerial Training, deserves some attention and a closer scrutiny at this time. The thesis of this study was that the Roman Catholic Church in the United States has operated with varied consistency in its attitude toward the relation of Church and State as this relation finds practical application in the state support of parochial school education.
