Though the title of our paper reads "The Groaning Creation", the purpose of our discussion will be, not so much to describe the nature of creation's groaning, but to ascertain the causes of the groaning (terminus & quo) with the special purpose of predicting and defining its end (terminus ad quem) on the basis of Rom. 8;18-22. It will be the story of sin and grace, death and life, damnation and redemption, paradise lost and paradise regained as this is reflected in the physical universe.
