Gatumba Massacre, Background Essay, Christopher Davey, Ezra Schrader, Fidele Sebahizi, Jean Paul Iranzi
Background
On August 13th 2004, 166 people were killed and 106 were wounded at the UN’s Gatumba refugee camp in Burundi. Nearly all the victims were members of the Banyamulenge community, a Congolese Tutsi ethnic group who were deliberately targeted in the attack. Incredible Day-Dream : Freud And Jung At Clark, 1909, William A. Koelsch
Incredible Day-Dream : Freud And Jung At Clark, 1909, William A. Koelsch
Clark University History
This booklet collects The Fifth Annual Paul S. Clarkson lecture, about Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung's historic 1909 visit to Clark University. As Blaine E. Taylor write in their preface:
"Professor Koelsch helps the reader put the visit in perspective, carefully correcting claims that it introduced Freud to America or that original research was presented for the first time in the lectures. He also traces the importance of the visit to Clark for Carl Jung and the interesting relationship between Freud and Jung....Here is a complete record, full of insight and interesting asides, of the events that led to 'the …

Manuscripts
This 16-page pamphlet, published by the Pittsfield Socialist Local, lays out Earl Davis's case for the socialism, rebutting the common myths and fears surrounding its supposed threat to religion. Davis's interest in and support of socialism makes its way into his sermons, his writing, and his involvement with workers rights during his time in Pittsfield, MA.
Church History Vi: Suppression Of The English Monasteries, Earl Clement Davis
Church History Vi: Suppression Of The English Monasteries, Earl Clement Davis
Education
This is from a collection of manuscripts—mostly class papers— written while Davis was a student at Harvard Divinity School, 1902-1904. This manuscript is clearly for the Church History VI class he took during the 1902-03 academic year.
A lengthy discussion of the suppression -- virtual elimination -- of the English monasteries during the Reign of Henry VIII. It concludes that this work was not done so much in support of religious progress, but in support of Henry's interests -- to divorce Catherine and to gain wealth and revenue. Includes a long bibliography.
