A Little Night Music, November 20 – December 7, 1985, Theatre Sheridan Nov 1985

A Little Night Music, November 20 – December 7, 1985, Theatre Sheridan

Theatre Sheridan Productions

Set in turn-of-the-century Sweden, this lightly mocking tale of tangled romances at a mid-summer house party is a musical version of the memorable movie “Smiles of a Summer Night”, by Inmar Bergman. The enchanting score features all songs in a waltz-time. “A Little Night Music” has something for everyone, romance, ancient secrets, incestuous affairs, and intrigue. With a smile on its lips, flirtation in its eye, and a sweet melancholy in its heart, “A Little Night Music” waltzes into turn of the century Sweden suffused with love.

Music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by Hugh Wheeler.

Director: Christina James
