The Canadian Music Theatre Project presented Marathon of Hope, based on the incredible true story of Terry Fox. In the summer of 1980, Terry ran across Canada, a marathon every day to raise money for cancer research and captured the heart of the nation in the process. A professional cast of actors, in Sheridan’s “theatrical laboratory”, developed this exciting new folk musical about one of Canada’s enduring heroes. Marathon of Hope is presented in …

Hey, it’s all relative.

But that’s nothing compared to the seismic impact of simple human connection.

The Theory of Relativity is a joyous, youthful musical exploration of the surprising interconnectedness of our own personal orbits as we stand “motionless” on this little rock hurtling through space. Sheridan's Canadian Music Theatre Project continues …

First showcased last spring as part of the Canadian Music Theatre Project, Theatre Sheridan was pleased to present a fully staged production of this extraordinary tale. A rocking musical about when 38 planes from around the world were diverted to a small, Canadian community on September 11th, 2001 - doubling its population in an instant. While the world witnessed the worst acts of humankind, the stranded passengers had their faith in humanity …

A miracle play is an ancient tradition of story and song. Theatre Sheridan follows in this tradition to bring the story of Terry Fox to life. The people around Terry have assumed different personas and parts of the play are fictional. It is an interpretation of his journey. However, some of Terry's words came from his mouth and parts of the play are based on fact.

Terry ran 3339 miles over 143 days, an average of 24 miles a day. It was a staggering heroic accomplishment.

He lived to realize his goal of raising $1 for each Canadian, a total …
