Ouachita Baptist University's Department of Theatre Arts presented is fall production of Into the Breeches! This heartwarming tale is about the women of the Oberon Play House putting on the works of Shakespeare while their husbands are off fighting in Europe during World War II. The performances ran from September 25 to 27. Tickets were available to purchase, and the production was open to Ouachita faculty, staff, and students.

Lighting, combined with other aspects of performance, can either make an experience extremely impactful for an audience or it can be completely unnoticed. Lighting is versatile in its ability to be manipulated in different ways to get the desired effect. In addition to having color, lights also have direction, shape, intensity, distribution, quality, movement, and may be changed over time. The combination of these elements can evoke certain emotions in an audience. Ouachita Baptist University’s Department of Theatre Arts presented its spring production of Little Women: The Musical with the opening performance held on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. in Jones Performing Arts Center. Performances continued through April 18. The production was open to Ouachita faculty, staff and students with limited seating to allow for social distancing, and streaming tickets are available to purchase for the general public at obu.edu/boxoffice.
