Student paper titled which Charlotte Houk examines the artistic aesthetics of mailboxes within a 10-mile radius of her home in the Lonoke Community in Hart County. Houk’s interviews focus on the creator of the mailbox, their inspiration behind the designs, and additional information concerning mailbox construction and presentation. Black and white photographs of each mailbox are included within the paper.

A reel-to-reel audiotape recording of a program titled “Documents in Sound: A Sample in Folk Arts,” which was sponsored by the Barren River Regional Arts Council with funds from the Kentucky Folklife Foundation. According to the tape summary, the program includes five separate features, which can be played as individual vignettes or as a full 29-minute program. Features include traditional artists and cover topics such as woodworking, broom making, basket making, weaving, and drawn work.

Information was gathered from various informants between 1963-1969. Material is arranged alphabetically by collector, consisting of specific detials about executing hogs, processing and preserving meat, and rendering lard. Includes papers by collectors and photographs. This project was completed by students at Campbellsville College under the guidance of Lynwood Montell.
