Sphere 3 Environmental, Inc. (Sphere 3) and Deep East Texas Archaeological Consultants (DETAC) conducted an intensive pedestrian cultural resources survey of an approximately 10.5- hectare (26-acre) tract of land on April 2, 2018 for MHS Planning & Design, LLC. Proposed development includes 1,255.8 meters (m) (4,120 feet (ft)) of trails 3.1 m (10.0 ft) wide with two bridges, three benches, and a boardwalk for the Longview Arboretum in Longview, Texas. Index of Texas Archaeology: Open Access Gray Literature from the Lone Star State

Between September 2015 and March 2016, reconnaissance and intensive archeological surveys were completed in order to inventory and evaluate archeological resources within the footprint of proposed improvements to Farm-to-Market (FM) 2206 from State Highway 42 to Loop 281 in Longview, Gregg County, Texas. The project is identified under TxDOT control-section-job numbers 2073-01-009 and 2073-01-010. The work associated with this archeological survey was carried out under Texas Antiquities Permit 7404 by Melissa M. Green (Principal Investigator), Haley Rush, and David Sandrock of Cox|McLain Environmental Consulting, Inc., a subcontractor to Burns and McDonnell.

The project field survey took place on September 23-24, 2013. The project’s area of potential effect (APE) encompasses a maximum of 122 acres including current right of way (ROW) [1.29 acres] and proposed ROW [120.71 acres]. A previous TxDOT pedestrian survey in September/October 2010 [permit # 5665] had covered approximately 117.52 acres where right of entry had been granted to TxDOT. At the time of the first survey no right of entry was granted for parcels 39 and 41. TxDOT has since purchased the entire APE and current survey covers the remaining two parcels 39 and 41 [4.48 acres]. No …
