Finding aid only for Manuscript Small Collection 3502. Letters written by John B. DeLong, Kentucky, to his wife Katherine, Alabama and Kentucky. In these sentimental letters John discusses searching for a job. He also includes details about daily life such as meals and his health. He relays how much he misses Katherine, their home life, and their dog “Pal.” Also included is a single letter from Merit O’Neal, a Louisville attorney, expressing his regrets for being unable to provide tickets to the Kentucky Derby.
