The article presents the author's view on a subject pertaining to the gospel of Saint Mark particularly the sayings verbalized by Jesus Christ who regarded Peter as "Satan." He argued that the sayings contained in the gospel signify that Mark is trying to convey that Peter was spiritually inhabited by Satan. The author also reveals that Jesus has seen Satan within Peter, and that he was trying to get rid of him. He also offered various interpretations of scholars regarding the passage. Some scholars interpreted it metaphorically, arguing that only the behavior of Peter resembles that of Satan.

The key to success in online education is the creation and sustenance of a safe and vibrant virtual community. In order to create such a community instructors must pay special attention to the relationship between technology and pedagogy, specifically in terms of issues such as course design, social presence, facilitation of sustained engagement with course material, specially tailored assignments, and learner expectations and objectives. Several strategies for accomplishing this goal are presented here based on the author’s experiences teaching second career students in hybrid introductory theology courses at a mainline denominational seminary.

This paper explores Hermann Cohen’s engagement with, and appropriation of, Maimonides to refute the common assumption that Cohen’s endeavor was to harmonize Judaism with Western culture.
