This paper is an introspective study of the writer’s philosophy of counseling and the' psychologists from which this philosophy was drawn. The sources are drawn from the writings of Alfred Adler, Robert Kegan, and Carl Rogers. Two concerns of the writer are also explored. The first concern is sexually active teens in our society. The resources used are from current periodicals. The third concern of the paper is the writer’s exploration of the views and concerns of the Mexican American at the time of the Chicano Movement in the late 1960's.
