The AU Wind Symphony presents its fall concert, “An American Tribute” on Saturday, under the direction of Denisse Santos.
This program featured several patriotic pieces that highlighted various eras of the history of the United States. Selections included:

Larry Daehn’s With Quiet Courage
Carolyn Bremer’s Early Light
Peter Wilhouky’s popular rendition of Battle Hymn of the Republic.

An all-American composers program brought by the Andrews University Symphony Orchestra with conductor Marc Élysée. Repertoire:
"Dovetail Overture, op. 12"—Robert Muczynski (1929–2010) (born in Chicago, alumnus of DePaul University) "Music for Orchestra"—Václav Nelhybel (1919–1996) "Adagio for Strings, op. 11"—Samuel Barber (1910–1981) "Vitality"—Gala Flagello (b. 1994) (brief introduction of the work by the composer herself) "Rhapsody in Blue"—George Gershwin (1898–1937)
