Romantic art is a high example of lyrical-psychological, vital-truthful embodiment of the inner spiritual world of a person. The attraction to figurative concreteness, the desire to fill the sound of the piano with emotional warmth and intonation expressiveness, the colorful characteristics of different keys, characteristic of romantic composers, are fertile material for performers. The milestones of the stages of formation and the development of Uzbek piano performing school, which reached unprecedented flourishing in the world cultural space in the years of independence, are considered in the article. The basic pedagogical principles are characterized and the activities of leading teachers, in particular, O. Yusupova, T. Popovich and others, are briefly covered.
