Andrews University Chorale and Singers will present thoughtful and edifying narratives on the seasons of life, love, gratitude, passion, hope, and justice. This seasonal concert is offered as a balm to help melt the winter blues away. Some of the concert’s repertoire includes:

 Nobel Prize laureate Bob Dylan’s “The Times They Are A-Changing” – The words to his song are more poignant than ever before

 “And So It Goes” by Billy Joel illustrates how heartache and lost love are respectfully entwined with abiding hope.

A collaborative concert featuring the Andrews University Symphony Orchestra, Chris Wild, conductor, and the Andrews University Singers and Chorale, Stephen Zork, conductor, as they present "Easter Gloria." The concert will begin with choruses selected from the Easter portions of Handel's "Messiah", followed by the Overture from Giuseppe Verdi's "Nabucco", and conclude with John Rutter’s Gloria.

Experience a festive garland of heartwarming carols such as Cameron Roses’ Infant Holy and selections from John Rutter’s Gloria, Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, and Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols. The centerpiece of the Christmas concert includes Z. Randall Stroope’s Magnificat, Shawn Kirchner’s setting of Brightest and Best, Paul Stookey’s Christmas Dinner arranged by Stephen Zork, and the reverent symphonic setting of See Amid the Winter’s Snow by Dan Forrest. The concert, presented in a collaborative purpose by instrumentalists and vocalists from the Department of Music, is designed to inspire you to serve those that Jesus Christ came to save.

Beethoven's 250th Birthday Celebration (Ode To Joy!), Andrews University

Concerts and Event Programs 2020-2021

The Andrews University Symphony Orchestra (together with the University Singers and vocal soloists Sara Emerson, Julie Karpenko Reid, Charles Reid, and Stephen Zork), aim to celebrate the 250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven with a performance of his Symphony No.9 on May 1. The concert will open with a complementary world premiere composition by Andrews University graduate student Kaija Perry.

Andrews University Department of Music presents its Easter Choral concert, entitled "From Darkness to Light, In Thee is Gladness!". Ensembles include Andrews University Singers, Pioneer Men's Chorus, and Canta Bella. Experience a garland of heartwarming carols, and choral selections that vary in style and genre from the Latin setting of O Nata Lux (Oh light of light) by English Renaissance composer Thomas Tallis to the Filipino folk setting of Umawit Kayo Sa Panginoon by Joy Nilo – sung in Tagalog language. The centerpiece of the Christmas concert is the joyful and radiant setting of Magnificat by J. S. Bach. Performed in its entirety, this 30-minute work is a unique and joyful response of Mary as recorded by Luke, the New Testament Gospel author. Magnificat is a universal celebration of hope …
