Photocopy of Civil War journal of Samuel Thomas Davis of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, who was in the 77th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. The journal relates his experiences in Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama with the dates of his stay in Kentucky being 21 October 1861-28 February 1862 and 13 September 1862-23 October 1862 and described on pages 1-5 and 16-21.

Includes letters, holiday greeting cards, telegrams, V-mail and postcards. Almost all correspondents were members of a local fraternal club known as the Senators which was composed of graduates of Bowling Green High School.
