Doctor Peck, of Chicago, was elected forty-fourth president of the Association at the 1906 meeting in Atlanta. Doctor Peck had been the Association's recording secretary in 1883-1885 and 1902-1906. Doctor Peck, who was also a physician, was secretary and later president of the Illinois State Dental Society. After being professor of materia medica and therapeutics first at the Chicago College of Dental Surgery and then at Northwestern University Dental School, he became dean of the University of Illinois dental school.
