He also describes the battle of Campbell’s Station near Knoxville, Tennessee, and refers (p. 68) to having been in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on Christmas Day 1862. He describes his company’s activities in preparation for the Battle of Mill Springs and with Felix Zollicoffer’s forces at Johnson’s Island, where he died. Other items include war records and photographs concerning Dean and Johnson’s Island cemetery.
