This collection contains one caricature of Jon Kennedy drawn by cartoonist George Fisher, a 1979 letter to Jon Kennedy from former Arkansas Governor Orval E. Faubus, one photocopy of an article in the Arkansas Democrat about Jon Kennedy, one photograph of Jon Kennedy, one copy of Jon Kennedy's book of political cartoons, and 10 original cartoons on illustration board primarily drawn with ink and graphite. It also contains several photocopies of his cartoons.

This collection contains a program from the first reunion of the class of 1946 of Little Rock High School, which occurred on July 8 and 9, 1977. It also contains a list of contact information for members of Wilson's Tigers. Wilson's Tigers was a group of Little Rock High School football players who met each year to remember their coach, Wilson Matthews, and their days playing football. The collection also contains a photograph of members of the class of 1948 of Little Rock High School at their reunion, which occurred on April 17-19, 1998.

Making Savages Of Us All: White Women, Pueblo Indians, And The Controversy Over Indian Dances In The 1920s, Margaret D. Jacobs

Historians who have covered the dance controversy usually treat it just in passing as one of the events in John Collier's reform career before he became Franklin Roosevelt's Commissioner of Indian Affairs. They have generally characterized the public debate over Indian dances as a struggle over whether religious freedom should be extended to Native Americans. To many Native Americans, the threat to ban Indian dances certainly did impinge on their religious practices. Yet, the controversy itself involved more than a constitutional debate on religious freedom. Many of the non-Indian participants in the controversy were white women who, in an era …

They called him The Old Roman. In 1919 Charles Comiskey, owner of the Chicago White Sox so angered his players with low salaries and his cheapskate ways that they turned on him and fixed the World Series. In 1996 White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf so angered his fellow owners by his high salaries and wild spending that they turned on him, reversed their vote of the previous three weeks, and approved the new baseball collective bargaining agreement. Maybe they should call Reinsdorf, the New Roman, or Roman Nouveau.
