Jean Carl Hertzog (1902 – 1984) was a book designer, typographer, and printer. The Hertzog ephemera collection dates 1947 – 2010, bulk 1950 – 1990. This collection contains materials about or by Carl Hertzog which were collected by various donors. Types of records include publications printed and designed by Carl Hertzog, book catalogs, correspondence, UTEP handbooks and catalogs, slides, holiday cards, an audio tape, and other printed material.

The Center for Access to Justice and Technology (CAJT), formerly Justice Web Collaboratory, was formed at Chicago-Kent in 1999. The CAJT worked to make justice more accessible to the public by promoting the use of the Internet in the teaching, practice, and public access to the law. Eloise Gallup ReQua was born on December 1, 1902, in Chicago, Illinois. She was the only child of Susan Eloise Gallup and William Bruyn ReQua. William ReQua and his brother Charles founded ReQua Brothers in 1886, and were grain merchants and members of the Chicago Board of Trade. Susan Eloise Gallup was the daughter of Delia Susanna Hulburd and Benjamin Ela Gallup, a Chicago lawyer.

The Brooklyn College Country Fair was instituted in 1938 as a way to raise money for the Student Loan and Scholarship Fund as well as a way to promote relations between the various student-social organizations on campus. The elements of the Country Fair drew upon the history of the Brooklyn College campus, which had originally been a rural field area that hosted various sporting events as well as the Barnum and Bailey Circus once-a-year. With his wife Elinor Mathews, Walter Read raised his family of two children, daughter Viola and son Lloyd, at their home at 745 Rugby Road. Social life was pleasant for the Reads. Dwight-White House was part of the House Plan Association (HPA) at Brooklyn College. The HPA was founded in 1937 and developed into the largest co-ed social organization at Brooklyn College. At its height, 170 individual Houses were part of HPA which had its own newspaper entitled The Calling Card. By 1961, with over 2,500 members, HPA comprised the largest student organization on any campus in the country. This collection is comprised of two principle events of Gover’s life. The first was his active duty in the Navy during World War II on a destroyer in the Pacific. This part of the collection consists of correspondence, pictures, scrapbooks, a large portrait, news clippings, and service medals. The second part of this collection is focused on one day, November 22, 1950, when a commuter train Gover was riding was hit from behind by another train going 40 miles per hour.
