The Popular Dry Goods Department Store was organized in 1902 by Adolph Schwartz. The Popular Dry Goods Company records, MS 317, made up of 296 boxes, 63 volumes of newspapers and 5 drawers of oversized materials, detail the officers, stores, finances, operations, and employees of El Paso’s largest locally-owned retail enterprise.

This collection includes the scrapbooks and meeting minutes that document the activities of the Archibald Bulloch Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution from 1964 to 2021. The scrapbooks include newspaper clippings, photographs, programs, correspondence, event and activity information, genealogical information of Revolutionary War veterans, and local history. The minutes detail Chapter meetings from 1964-2016, though the minutes from September 1984-May 1996 are missing.

This collection consists of materials, spanning 1915-1960, related to the education and careers of Horace and Maggie Simmons Hagin’s five daughters: Bertha, Dell, Ruth, Ida Mae, and Louise Hagin. Materials include report cards, bills, notebooks, photographs, and clippings that document their experiences as college students in Statesboro and as teachers in Bulloch County. The collection also includes drafting plates by Ruth Hagin and Barnie Kennedy, as well as a few personal items.
