An Evolution Of Effectiveness Of Drug Courts, Sean Pinney
Spring Showcase for Research and Creative Inquiry
The objective of this research is to examine the effectiveness of Drug Courts and what makes the courts more effective than the traditional probation process. A systematic review of studies conducted to assess the impact of drug courts on stated outcomes indicates that the policy is an effectives means of reducing negative outcomes between drug courts and drug offenders. In addition, this policy reduces the incarceration number of inmates due to the rehabilitation style treatment that the offenders receive.

My research aims to show the older generation of Disney princesses' problems and how they are changing the narrative to give girls more agency. In some research, I have learned that 'Disney Princesses represent salient, powerful, attractive characters who tend to be portrayed as conforming to gender stereotypes and are rewarded for their gendered behavior' (Coyner, para9). Most girls identify with older princesses like Snow White or Cinderella than newer ones who give women more agency. Since its origins of the 1970s up to the present, the musical themes of Heavy Metal along with the associated subcultures have been the prey of various moral ideologies, particularly of a conservative matter. Moral panics have ensued in the past over various qualities of the genre, and there is still residual stigma to be found today, much of which is based upon misperceptions of cause and effect.
