The current study aimed to investigate the production of L2 English ‘wish-clauses’ by L1 Thai learners, based on the Interlanguage Hypothesis (Corder, 1981; Selinker, 1972, 1992). It was hypothesized that L1 Thai learners showed systematicity in their interlanguage in the use of ‘wish-clauses’ and that their IL was shaped by language transfer and transfer of training, which are among the psychological processes of IL construction. English ‘wish-clauses’ examined in the study were three types of hypothetical or counterfactual wish: wish about the present, wish about the past, and wish about the future. Thai undergraduate engineering students seem to have difficulty mastering English oral communication ability and learner autonomy. This study investigated the effects of a project-based blended learning with communication strategy instruction model to develop English oral communication ability and learner autonomy of undergraduate engineering students. Four communication strategies, namely asking for clarification, asking for confirmation, circumlocution, and use of fillers and hesitation devices, and the ways to conduct the independent project, were taught to 20 undergraduate Engineering students in a face-to-face environment. The research investigated pragmatic transfer in responses to English tag questions by L1 Thai learners based on the theory of interlanguage pragmatics, specifically pragmatic transfer (Kasper & Blum-Kulka, 1993). There were two participant groups: a native control group and two experimental groups. The control group consisted of three native English speakers formulating the baseline data. The experimental groups were categorized according to their English proficiency levels: the intermediate and the advanced groups, with 16 participants in the learners’ group. Many critics have suggested that most of the non-human characters in late-Victorian British science-fiction novels reflect social alienation and the cultural fear of physical, mental and moral degeneration. However, by relying on the concept of critical posthumanism in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries that attempts to debunk anthropocentrism and emphasise the significance of non-human otherness, this thesis studies representations of the body in three British science-fiction novels: Edward Bulwer-Lytton's The Coming Race (1871), H.G. Sex tourism, though a potentially significant site of investigation, has received limited scholarly attention in the semiotic landscape research in the past two decades. Addressing this gap, I interrogate the discursive construction of Bangkok sex tourism spaces focusing on Silom areas, Cowboy alley, Nana Plaza. The study aims to identify the patterns of linguistic and semiotic choices in sexed signs, analyze the role of linguistic and semiotic resources in indexing gender and sexuality, and investigate the discursive construction of Bangkok sex tourism spaces. Corpus linguistic research has consistently shown that there is an interconnectedness between patterns and meanings in language use (Hunston and Francis, 2000; Römer, 2006). With regard to the present perfect, little attention has been paid to the relationship between verb patterns and meanings expressed through the tense. This may be one of the reasons why second language learners frequently encounter difficulties in mastering the English present perfect. As Yoshimura et al. This study examined the effects of differentiated reading instruction (DRI) on the reading comprehension and self-efficacy of undergraduate students. The study indicated their improvement in both areas after the intervention. Thirty-three students attending the course of English for Scientists were chosen for the study. The pre-test in reading comprehension and the self-efficacy questionnaire were administered before the intervention. The scores of the pre-test of reading comprehension were used to divide the students into two groups according to their level of reading proficiency: lower-proficiency level students and higher-proficiency level students. This research study investigated the stress patterns and metalinguistic knowledge of Thai learners on the pronunciation of English derivational suffixed words. The study compared how the learners performed before and after the praxis intervention, where the stress placement rules of English suffixed words were explicitly taught and trained. Thirty first-year university students were selected by stratified random sampling based on their proficiency levels and were grouped into the high and low proficiency groups. This research investigated avoidance behaviour as one of the strategies L2 learners may resort to because of L1-L2 differences, or the non-existence of L2 structures for L1 learners (Schachter 1974; Dagut and Laufer 1985). Schachter (1974) proposed the Avoidance Behaviour Hypothesis, whereby L2 learners were likely to avoid using some L2 structures due to the aforementioned difficulties in L2 acquisition. Later researchers, i.e. Dagut and Laufer (1985), and Laufer and Eliasson (1993), claimed that L1-L2 differences tended to play a role, or at least would be the 'best predictor' (1993, p46) of avoidance. ประโยคกรรมวาจกในภาษาไทยสามารถแสดงนัยยะเชิงบวกหรือเชิงลบที่ผู้ส่งสารมีต่อเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น ในขณะที่ภาษาสเปนไม่สามารถทำได้ อีกทั้งภาษาสเปนยังมีโครงสร้างที่ไม่ปรากฏในภาษาไทย ได้แก่ ประโยคกรรมวาจกประเภท pasiva refleja การศึกษาการแปลประโยคกรรมวาจกโดยไม่เปลี่ยนแปลงความหมายของต้นฉบับจึงเป็นเรื่องน่าสนใจ ทั้งนี้ วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษากลวิธีการแปลประโยคกรรมวาจกจากภาษาสเปนเป็นภาษาไทย โดยได้ทำการวิเคราะห์บทแปลข่าวจากภาษาสเปนเป็นภาษาไทยที่แปลโดยสำนักภาษาต่างประเทศ สำนักงานเลขาธิการสภาผู้แทนราษฎรจำนวน 198 ข่าว จากผลการวิเคราะห์การแปลประโยคประเภท pasiva perifrástica จำนวน 161 ประโยคและการแปลประโยคประเภท pasiva refleja จำนวน 213 ประโยค พบว่ากลวิธีที่ใช้ในการแปลประโยคประเภท pasiva perifrástica มากที่สุดคือกลวิธีการแปลด้วยประโยคกรรมวาจกที่ปรากฏตัวบ่งชี้ ถูก และกลวิธีที่ใช้ในการแปลประโยคประเภท pasiva refleja มากที่สุดคือกลวิธีการเติมประธานด้วยการตีความจากบริบท ในแง่ของปัจจัยในการเลือกใช้กลวิธี พบว่าความใกล้เคียงกับโครงสร้างประโยคต้นฉบับเป็นปัจจัยหลักในการเลือกกลวิธีในการแปล ส่วนปัจจัยอื่น ๆ ได้แก่การยึดติดกับขนบการแปลดั้งเดิมของผู้แปลและความหมายเชิงบวก เชิงลบ หรือเป็นกลางของประโยคที่แปล

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประสิทธิผลของการสอนอ่านแบบแลกเปลี่ยนบทบาทในการพัฒนาทักษะการอ่านภาษาสเปนของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โรงเรียนเตรียมอุดมศึกษา แผนการเรียนภาษา-สเปน และเพื่อพัฒนาแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้านการสอนอ่านตามแนวคิดการสอนแบบแลกเปลี่ยนบทบาทระหว่างครูกับนักเรียน กลุ่มตัวอย่างในการวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นนักเรียนแผนการเรียนภาษา-สเปน ระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษา ปีที่ 5 โรงเรียนเตรียมอุดมศึกษา เป็นการสุ่มประชากรตัวอย่างแบบเจาะจง เนื่องจากการจัดการเรียนการสอนภาษาสเปนในโรงเรียนเตรียมอุดมศึกษา จัดให้มีแผนการเรียนภาษา-สเปนเพียง 1 ห้องต่อปีการศึกษา ทำให้ไม่สามารถแบ่งกลุ่มผู้เรียนออกเป็นกลุ่มควบคุมและกลุ่มทดลองเพื่อทำการศึกษาในปีการศึกษาเดียวกันได้ จึงต้องใช้นักเรียนกลุ่มที่ต่างกันด้วยปีการศึกษา กล่าวคือ 1) กลุ่มควบคุม คือ นักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2561 จำนวน 17 คน ได้รับการสอนตามแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบดั้งเดิม รายวิชา ป30204 ภาษาสเปน 4 กลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้ภาษาต่างประเทศที่ 2 โรงเรียนเตรียมอุดมศึกษา และ 2) กลุ่มทดลอง คือ นักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2562 จำนวน 24 คน ได้รับการสอนตามแผน การจัดการเรียนรู้ด้านการสอนอ่านแบบแลกเปลี่ยนบทบาทระหว่างครูกับนักเรียน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ได้แก่ แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้านการสอนอ่านแบบแลกเปลี่ยนบทบาทระหว่างครูกับนักเรียน แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถด้านการอ่านภาษาสเปนเพื่อความเข้าใจ แบบประเมินตนเองด้านการอ่านภาษาสเปนเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียน และแบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมด้านการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนโดยครูเป็นผู้สังเกต สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และค่า t-test ผลการวิจัยจากการศึกษาประสิทธิผลของการสอนอ่านแบบแลกเปลี่ยนบทบาทระหว่างครูกับนักเรียนในการพัฒนาทักษะการอ่านภาษาสเปน พบว่านักเรียนที่ได้รับการสอนตามแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้านการสอนอ่านแบบแลกเปลี่ยนบทบาทระหว่างครูกับนักเรียนมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยความสามารถด้านการอ่านภาษาสเปนเพื่อความเข้าใจหลังการทดลองสูงกว่าก่อนการทดลองอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ .05 ซึ่งสูงกว่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยหลังการทดลองของกลุ่มควบคุม จึงสรุปได้ว่า การสอนอ่านภาษาสเปนเพื่อความเข้าใจโดยใช้แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้านการสอนอ่านแบบแลกเปลี่ยนบทบาทระหว่างครูกับนักเรียนมีประสิทธิผลคือ ทำให้ทักษะการอ่านภาษาสเปนเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนสูงขึ้น

This study aimed 1) to develop an e-learning based on the microlearning approach and 2) to examine quality of the developed e-learning. To examine the quality, three research instruments including pretest and posttest, a perception survey questionnaire and a quality evaluation form were used. The sample group consisted of 21 Thai undergraduate students in Faculty of Education at Chulalongkorn University.
