The 9th - 12th centuries in Central Asia are marked by the development of science and culture, especially Islamic sciences. In this regard, such ancient cities as Bukhara, Samarkand, Nasaf (Karshi), Termez, Khiva, Shash (Tashkent) were known as centers of science and culture in the Islamic world. In particular, in Tashkent, which is called Shash in medieval sources, many prominent scholars of Islamic sciences lived and worked. The 9th century was called the “Golden Age of Hadith Science” thanks to the work of Hadith scholars in the region.
