Throughout the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, the edges of Europe were under pressure from the Ottoman Turks. This book explores how Shakespeare and his contemporaries represented places where Christians came up against Turks, including Malta, Tunis, Hungary, and Armenia. Some forms of Christianity itself might seem alien, so the book also considers the interface between traditional Catholicism, new forms of Protestantism, and Greek and Russian orthodoxy. But it also finds that the concept of Christendom was under threat in other places, some much nearer to home. Edges of Christendom could be found in areas that were or had been pagan, …

For the 2022 season of Lent, Bethel faculty and staff members collaborated to pen Centered on Jesus: A Lenten Devotional from the Faculty of Bethel University. The daily devotionals in Centered on Jesus are intended to help the Bethel community and anyone interested recenter before the cross during Lent. In 2017-2018, Hodos Institute conducted a study of leadership practices and leadership formation in faith-based substance abuse rehabilitation centers in Eurasia. We interviewed more than 60 administrators and workers in Christian rehab centers. We also developed an online questionnaire that was completed by more than 500 persons who had been clients of rehabilitation centers. This book presents the review of major observations and findings of the given study. We also propose basic recommendations on leadership and Christian mission in the context of Christian rehabilitation and social adaptation ministry provided to those who experience substance abuse problems.

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between religious affiliation and Native American Identity. Based on the findings of this study, a component of a Native American's Identity is their religious affiliation. To contribute to the research on Native American and Alaskan Native identity, this study targeted the teenage demographic of ages 12 to 19 years old. Over growing concern, expressed by tribal elders, about a loss of cultural identity amongst teens, this study investigates a connection between a teen’s sense of identity and their religious affiliation (Quigley, 2019).
