The Christian movement known as evangelicalism possesses a long and complex history or theological and practical development and expression. Through the years, the term evangelical has carried a wide range of meanings. In the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary (2007), education is defined as "the field of study that deals mainly with methods of teaching and learning in schools."
