The 1872 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Bethlehem Church (present day: Bethlehem Baptist Church) in Kings Mountain, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by Elder Wade Hill. The circular letter was authored by A. A. McSwain on the topic of systematic beneficence. Delegates were appointed to the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. The minutes reflect that during the report from the Committee on Missions the meeting was interrupted by Newton Long.
