This departmental honors project examines the effects of routinization of charisma upon Bethel Church in Redding, California. As a movement related to both the Assemblies of God and the Toronto Blessing of the 1990s, Bethel has begun to declare an eternal revival based in their city. To prevent the movement from routinizing and dissipating, the leadership has instituted several structures within the church.
