Letters of artist Joseph Dudley Downing to Riley Handy, Kentucky Museum, WKU, regarding an exhibition of his work that opened at the museum on 28 March 1993. Downing discusses the content of the exhibition, associated printed matter and the return of unsold items, and provides background on the works “Isidore’s Door,” “Michael’s Door,” “The Window of Arthemise Fougerousse” and “The Chicken Bones.” Includes an unidentifed commentary on some of his paintings, and a list of 11 works to be exhibited.
