En América Latina el déficit de vivienda, según la CEPAL, supera la cantidad de 25 millones de unidades. Doing Business In China : A Primer For Foreign Architects, Shijie Wu
Doing Business In China : A Primer For Foreign Architects, Shijie Wu
Theses
With more and more U.S. and other foreign businesses investing in the Chinese market, it is a good time for American architectural firms to enter this great market and play an important role. This thesis analyzes the prospects and feasibility of cooperation between U.S. and Chinese architects by investigating China's construction market, architects and firms.
In an overseas investment and architectural project, foreign and Chinese architects have to learn how to co-operate. They will encounter many special problems in this new work, which is very different from projects in their own countries. American architects and businessmen urgently need a reference …

Ciudad Y Comunicacián, Fernando Carrión Mena
Ciudad Y Comunicacián, Fernando Carrión Mena
Fernando Carrión Mena
The text deals with analyzing the theme about the relation between communication and city, in a double perspective: the city a mean of communication and the incorporation of the communicative dimension in urban policies. 80th perspectives have more sense, when the globalization procedures require the intemationalization of the city, a fortifying local government and the return to the constructed city, therefore, in a wide meaning; the communication acquires a new dimension for the urban development.
"Ni el patrimonio económico y cultural heredado del pasado, ni la importancia política y los medios financieros que el Estado atribuya a sus ciudades serán …
A Paradigm For The Construction Of Architectural Narrative, Sarah F. Holmes
A Paradigm For The Construction Of Architectural Narrative, Sarah F. Holmes
Architecture Thesis Prep
How does one develop a relevant architectural narrative within a society that traditionally has been and remains highly pluralistic?
Architectural meaning arises through the dialogue between a physical and a narrative structure.

Traditional (scientific) methods of analysis examine physical phenomena which organize and create the conceptual structure of the environment. I propose that the narrative structure, that is, the metaphysical structure, is equally valuable …
