A conference was purposed entitled “Shaping Our Common Destiny: Town/Gown Relations and Physical Implication of Economic Development,” in the town of Amherst, Massachusetts. The framework for the conference will focus on the mutual interest, concerns, and responsibilities of the community officials and the university officials.
The purpose of this survey was two-fold: to determine interest among university and town planners in participating in the proposed conference and to assess the nature of current relationships between the two entities.

As new technology rapidly changes the construction industry, we feel it is imperative that our programs are restructured to reflect these changes. In order to accomplish the goals of this sabbatical leave, I was to visit with our program advisory committee and a diverse group of companies and government agencies that would be willing to discuss what new technology they are using, or give us advice on additions and changes needed in our program. The 1890s were, for bright young females, an age of choice. Despite admonitions that flirting would ruin their reputations, many south central Kentucky adolescents enjoyed courtship rituals and remained highly respected in their communities. For every Charlotte Perkins Gilman with a mission set on advancing the status of women within our society, numerous females existed simply to enjoy life’s fullness and frivolity. Biodegradation of Trichloroethlyene (TCE) in a Hollow Fiber Membrane Bioreactor Was Investigated using a Mutant of the Methanotrophic Bacteria, Methylosinus Trichosporium 0B3b. Contaminated Water Flowed through the Lumen (I.e., Fiber Interior), and the Bacteria Circulated through the Shell Side of the Membrane Module and an External Growth Reactor. in Mass Transfer Studies with a Radial Cross-Flow Membrane Module, 78.3-99.9% of the TCE Was Removed from the Lumen at Hydraulic Residence Times of 3-15 Min in the Lumen and the Shell. in Biodegradation Experiments, 80-95% of the TCE Was Removed from the Lumen at Hydraulic Residence Times of 5-9 Min in …
