A survey was sent to 517 planning and community development departments across California inquiring about how they use interactive PDF files for forms and applications. 139 cities and counties responded, providing invaluable feedback, with 98% stating that their online forms and applications are in PDF format, 62% confirmed that some or all their PDF's are interactive, and over 72% retype the information in the completed PDF forms they receive in a database or spreadsheet program. Why retype data that has already been typed into an interactive PDF in order to enter it into their tracking systems?

The City of San Luis Obispo is interested in developing a Missing Middle Housing Plan to promote the development of attractive, affordable housing in the city. Middle housing includes duplexes, triplexes, cottage courts, and townhomes. Although middle housing is not necessarily affordable by definition, it can increase housing affordability by improving the diversity of housing types available. Design guidelines will help ensure that proposed developments fit into the character of existing neighborhoods and the community as a whole.

The focus of this project is to improve the overall air quality in San Joaquin. It will specifically focus on the PM2.5 pollutant, as this pollutant has the highest potential for change. Additionally, the PM2.5 pollutant poses major health risks to the community when there are high levels of it. The primary contributors of PM2.5 are automobiles, geography, and weather. This project will discuss methods that can reduce the reliance on single occupancy vehicles. These methods include the development of pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure as well as the improvement of the area’s regional transport services.

This paper is a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) spatial analysis of the transportation accessibility and equity in Sacramento, California. A literature review examines discriminatory regulatory policies in the 1900s that wrote racial segregation into law. The effects of these policies have lasting effects on spatial dispersal of people and create barriers to accessibility and therefore result in inequitable transportation systems. The accessibility and equity analysis in Sacramento explores demographic data, job concentration and available modes of transportation, and commuter data.
